Every major supply chain depends on trusted identification. As regulation, automation and AI transform global industry, natural materials remain one of the last major industrial assets without an established digital identity, and this gap is becoming a critical bottleneck.

The identity is available to every authorized participant across enterprise systems through the integrated TimberID and StoryOfProduct ecosystem, providing a single platform for identification, traceability, compliance and digital storytelling.

Dcode™ assigns a persistent digital identity directly to natural materials at the point of origin. Each identity securely contains a globally unique identifier together with trusted origin metadata, including location and creation time.
The technology has been fully integrated with both legacy and modern StanForD standards, enabling seamless interoperability with existing forestry and enterprise systems.
Designed for demanding industrial environments, Dcode is fast, durable, weather-resistant and requires no inks, labels, RFID tags or other consumables. The complete marking-to-verification workflow has been validated across multiple wood species, including Radiata Pine, using a family of internally developed handheld and automated marking and reading devices.
Each identity can be embedded directly into standard machine production files and linked with data generated by harvesters and processors. Built on established industry standards, it integrates into current digital workflows, without parallel infrastructure and without changes to existing machine ecosystems.
